    Once enough neighbours have registered, we engage suitable, SEAI-registered installers in your area to seek group pricing.

    You receive a proposal to consider, including costs, indicative savings, and grant information where applicable, with no pressure to proceed.

  4. Go solar together

    Homes that proceed can be coordinated as a group, helping keep the process organised and pricing competitive. You're supported every step of the way.

About Group Solar

Group Solar is a community solar initiative operated by AirPV Ltd. It is coordinated by Scott McKechnie, who has over a decade of experience in solar PV, from rooftop systems to large-scale solar farms.

Group Solar is not an installer and is not tied to one installation company. The aim is to help communities understand their options, organise demand, and seek competitive group pricing from suitable installers.

Frequently asked questions

Is there any obligation to proceed?
No. Registering your interest is entirely free and carries no obligation. You only commit if you choose to accept a quote from an installer.
Is Group Solar an installer?
No. Group Solar is a community coordination initiative, not an installation company. We help organise demand and connect estates with suitable, SEAI-registered installers. We are not tied to any single installer.
Will every estate get a scheme?
Not necessarily. Whether a group scheme goes ahead will depend on the level of interest in each estate and the availability of suitable installers in your area. We will always keep you informed.
Can I still get individual solar quotes?
Absolutely. Registering with Group Solar does not prevent you from getting individual quotes. It simply gives you the option to explore group pricing alongside any quotes you source independently.

Data controller
The data controller for this site is AirPV Ltd. Group Solar is operated as an AirPV Ltd community solar initiative. For privacy queries, contact info@groupsolar.ie.

What we collect
When you register your interest, we collect your name, email address, and estate name. We may also collect a phone number if you choose to provide one.

How we use your data
We use your contact details solely to update you about Group Solar activity relevant to your estate, for example when we are organising group quotes in your area. We do not use your data for marketing unrelated to Group Solar.

Who we share it with
We will not sell your personal data. We will only share your contact details with selected installers where needed to progress a Group Solar scheme, and where you have agreed to proceed to that stage.

How form data is processed
When online registration is enabled, form submissions may be processed through Tally and stored in Google Sheets so we can manage expressions of interest. Tally's handling of your data is governed by Tally's privacy policy.

Cookies and tracking
We do not run our own analytics tracking on this site. The Tally form embed, when active, may set cookies in accordance with Tally's privacy policy linked above.

Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your data at any time by emailing info@groupsolar.ie. You can also ask to be removed from Group Solar updates at any time by emailing info@groupsolar.ie.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission.
